Smash the Air

This series of promotional posters was created for Virgin Australia during the 2013 Brisbane International Tennis Tournament. Visual elements derived from tennis courts, ball trajectories, and flight paths were abstracted into simple geometric forms, translating both sport and aviation into a minimal graphic language.

By eliminating unnecessary details, the designs focus on color, line, and negative space to convey tension, movement, and speed. Each poster captures a moment inspired by the game, while subtly connecting it to Virgin Australia’s dynamic and forward-moving brand identity.

본 포스터 시리즈는 2013년 브리즈번 인터내셔널 테니스 토너먼트 기간 동안 진행된 Virgin Australia의 브랜드 커뮤니케이션을 위해 제작되었습니다. 테니스 코트, 볼의 궤적, 항공기의 이동 경로 등 스포츠와 항공이 공유하는 움직임의 요소를 단순한 기하 형태로 재해석해 미니멀한 그래픽 언어로 표현했습니다.

불필요한 설명을 배제하고 색, 선, 여백만으로 긴장감과 속도감을 전달하는 데에 초점을 맞췄으며, 각 포스터는 테니스 경기의 순간과 Virgin Australia의 브랜드 이미지를 직관적으로 연결하는 하나의 시각적 장면으로 구성되었습니다.
